Studio KÄ at the Forum Création Africa Lagos

October 20, 2025

The Creative Africa Forum, held in Lagos from October 16 to 18, brought together over 500 professionals from across Africa’s creative industries — fashion, music, cinema, animation, gaming, publishing, and tech.

Studio KÄ, represented by its founder Adja Mariam Soro, took part in the Ivorian delegation supported by the French Embassy in Abidjan.
On this occasion, Mrs. Soro presented Loka, the studio’s new animated short film in development, celebrating African youth and poetic storytelling.

Now in its second edition, the forum has become a key platform for showcasing Africa’s most promising creative projects.

ASDM supports STUDIO KÄ

September 26, 2025

As part of an agreement signed with ASDM (Media Support and Development Agency), Studio KÄ had the honor of officially receiving a batch of professional equipment as well as a financial grant intended to support the production of our animated films.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Meïté Sindou, Director of ASDM, as well as to the Ministry of Communication of Côte d'Ivoire for their continued actions in favor of Ivorian producers.

This initiative confirms the common desire to support the local audiovisual sector and to promote African animation on the international scene.

Studio KÄ at the BELUCI “Back to School Cocktail”

September 25, 2025

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Studio KÄ participated in the Back-to-School Cocktail organized by the Belgium Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Côte d'Ivoire (BELUCI) at the Palais d'Akwa.
This event provided a privileged setting to discover the institution's activities, exchange with economic actors from various backgrounds and strengthen Studio KÄ's partner network.

This presence is part of Studio KÄ's desire to develop strategic collaborations and actively contribute to the economic and cultural dynamics linking Côte d'Ivoire, Europe and Africa.

STUDIO KA at Polygon Pictures

August 25, 2025

As part of her mission to Japan, Adja Mariam Soro had the honor of being received in Tokyo by Mr. Shuzo Shiota, President and Director of Polygon Pictures, one of the most renowned animation studios in the world.
This meeting, marked by a personal guided tour of the premises by Mr. Shiota himself, allowed us to discover the organization and know-how of a major player in international animation, whose productions have marked several generations across the world.

This special moment was also an opportunity to explore avenues of cooperation between Polygon Pictures and Studio KÄ, in a dynamic of collaboration between Japan and Africa around animated cinema.
This opening demonstrates Studio KÄ's desire to be part of a global network of excellence and to strengthen synergies between African talents and international partners.

STUDIO KA in Yokohama for TICAD 9

August 21, 2025

Studio KÄ was represented by its founder, Adja Mariam Soro, who was invited as a speaker on the first day of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9).
She spoke on the topic: "Practical Business Development in the Content Market in French-speaking Africa", alongside Mr. Harada (producer of the global Tekken franchise), Mr. Shuzo Shiota, President of Polygon Pictures, and Mr. Bakayoko, founder of Paradise Game Côte d'Ivoire.
Moderated by Mr. Watanabe, Director of the JETRO Abidjan office, this round table highlighted Studio KÄ's portfolio and shared prospects for collaboration with Japanese companies in the animation film sector.
This participation illustrates Studio KÄ's commitment to actively contributing to international dialogue and strengthening bridges between Africa and Japan in the creative industries.

As part of the Creative Africa program, initiated by the French Ministry of Culture, Studio KÄ, represented by Mrs. Adja Soro, had the opportunity to meet Gaumont, the oldest French cinema company.

During this professional exchange, Ms. Soro spoke with Ms. Terry Kalagian, Vice President of Creative Content and Producer at Gaumont. This meeting was a valuable opportunity to discuss the richness of African stories and their potential in the world of international animation.

For Studio KÄ, this conversation marks an important step in its ambition to promote African cultures through innovative animation projects. A step forward that demonstrates the growing recognition of its expertise in international professional circles.

Studio KÄ takes a behind-the-scenes look at excellence at ISART Digital

During an enriching meeting, Studio KÄ had the opportunity to discover the world of ISART Digital, a school recognized for training talents who have contributed to international blockbusters.

The visit allowed to explore the premises of the establishment and to talk with the teaching and management team. An in-depth reflection on the technical approach of a Studio KÄ animation project also punctuated this meeting.

This discovery confirmed ISART's reputation as a school of excellence, capable of revealing and amplifying animation talents. An inspiring experience for Studio KÄ, which continues its ambition to explore new perspectives in the field of cultural animation.

 

Voyelles Editions represented at the BIEF fellowship

Our publishing component is growing in Paris

Last November, Voyelles Éditions, the literature branch of Studio KÄ, represented by Mademoiselle Grâce NGoran, children's publisher, participated in the BIEF (Bureau International de l'Édition Française) Fellowship in Paris.

This program, dedicated to book professionals, has made it possible to forge valuable links with French-speaking publishers, whether African or international, with a view to future collaborations.

The event offered a unique opportunity to discuss editorial practices, discover new trends and strengthen bridges between the different French-speaking literary scenes.

"It was an enriching program," underlines Mademoiselle NGoran, marking an important step for Voyelles Éditions in its mission to promote quality youth works, rich in cultural and educational values.

A highlight that reinforces Voyelles Éditions’ commitment to creating synergies and extending its international reach.

Studio KÄ récompensé du Prix Awa de l'innovation par Enabel à Bruxelles

Studio KÄ, represented by Ms. Adja Soro, was honored yesterday in Brussels during an event organized by Enabel, celebrating four African women who are redefining practices in their respective creative industries sectors.

Janet Kabugho (eco-responsible craftsmanship), Sonia Guiza (international distribution of African films), Aicha Macky (documentary production), and Adja Soro (animation production and cultural publishing) were highlighted for their remarkable contributions.

This recognition sheds light on the collective efforts supporting these initiatives and contributes to transforming perceptions around African entrepreneurship. More than an individual celebration, it emphasizes the importance of building bridges between markets and showcasing the cultural richness of the continent.

Ms. Soro expressed her gratitude to Enabel for this distinction, which reflects a shared commitment to innovation and collaboration in the creative industries.

A significant moment to highlight the growing role of African women in these sectors and the impact of their work beyond borders.
